ESCONDIDO, CA – Patio Playhouse, continuing its commitment to providing exposure and training to the theater arts for Escondido’s youth, will be presenting two productions in its 49th season. In the fall, they will present Roald Dahl’s “James and the Giant Peach” adapted by David Wood. Next spring they will present “Disney’s Aladdin Jr.” based on the 1992 movie and adapted by Luigs and Louiselle. The week-long Acting Academy will take place in June and will end with a talent review for family and friends.

For the 9th straight year, Patio Playhouse will be presenting Acting Academy, a week-long training program for ages 6-16. The Acting Academy program includes topics such as audition preparation, stage presence, improvisation, character development and music & dance for stage. The program is run by Patio Playhouse’s experienced staff and ends with a talent revue for the students to show off what they’ve learned. Tuition for Acting Academy is $175 per student with a $25 discount for siblings. The registration form can be found on our website: www.patioplayhouse.com.
