For the show, I am the costume designer and assistant ambiance director. In real life, I am a psychiatric RN for the County of San Diego working in an Adult Outpatient Mental Health Clinic in Oceanside. I love my co-workers. We have a great staff of docs, nurses, counselors and clerks. We laugh a lot! I especially love my schizophrenic clients. The character I can identify most with is the waitress. I am the waitress!!! The most moving part of the show for me is the Father and Sons song because it is so true. There won't be a dry eye in the house. Even though I enjoy being involved with this show, it has been a challenge.
Costuming a show that is double and triple cast and where each person
also does backup to many scenes with little or no time to change in between...whew!
I am really enjoying working with this wonderfully talented, fun and cooperative cast and, of course, I love working with Richard and Mary and Kris Bauer I'm very proud of the relief I made of the show's title which spells out the word "Working" with each of the letters made up of real tools. Check it out when you come to the show. For me, it's "Something To Point To." I love the music of this show and, as always, watching the magic as an ordinary space with regular people evolves into something wonderful! |
