Kevin Jones
Kevin
most recently appeared for three performances as Don Quixote in
this season's Man of La Mancha. Other Patio shows include
Celebration (which he also directed), Kiss Me Tony,
The Fantasticks and 110 in the Shade. He is in
his first year as President of Patio Playhouse, is a theatre representative
to Associated Community Theatres (ACT) and was this year's winner
of the San Diego Performing Arts League's STAR award for outstanding
volunteers. He would like to thank Wayne for giving him the opportunity
to perform with this extraordinary cast and crew. It has truly been
a pleasure! He would especially like to thank and send his love
to Alex and Michael, and the other people that give his life its
purpose. |

Jeff
Laurence
He
said he wanted to be invited back. Well we invited him back! From
the somewhat effeminate Carlton in Light up the Sky to
the authoritive Detective Troughton in Run for your Wife,
Jeff will get another chance to test his range at Patio. He is enjoying
his time at Patio and the chance to once again work with a superior
cast. One of his favorite shows is Same Time Another Year,
where he met his wife Lee Donnelly (one of Patio’s finest
actresses). Noises Off is still his favorite show, however.
Does anyone know where that may pop up? He has an Aubrey award for
the musical, The Fantastics, and has been nominated for
many comedies, The Last of the Red Hot Lovers, Lend
me a Tenor and Rumors to name a few. His favorite
comic actor is W.C. Fields. |

John
Aviles
John has been involved in local San Diego theater for about seven
years now, and has had the privilege of portraying a number of
characters, both classic and modern. Most recently he has been
honored to play King Henry IV in the Shakespeare classic. He has
also played such characters as Montano in Othello, Mercutio
in Romeo and Juliet, and the lead Witch/Assassin in Macbeth.
John will be reprising his role of Stanley Gardner, which he first
took on at Mira Costa College in 1997, and has always listed this
character, as well as this play, as one of his all time favorites.
John has remained active in theater both on stage and behind the
scenes, having lent his skills as a make-up artist to both live
performances and many film projects for SDSU. John would like
to thank his mother for her support over the years and his children,
who bring him constant joy and laughter.

DeEtte
Vandenberg
Dee
enjoyed drama classes in high school and at Palomar college, but
has spent the last few years being an audience member. She loves
painting, photography, and creative makeup for local church plays.
When she heard of the opportunity to get back on to the stage, she
jumped to the occasion. She says it does her heart good just to
have a small part in this show! |

John
DeCarlo
John is stepping
into the role of Detective Sgt. Porterhouse six days before this
play opens in response to a family emergency for Dixie King Wade.
This is his first show at Patio, but he has been active in San Diego
community theatres, at Palomar College, Sixth & Penn, Onstage
Productions, and Poway Performing Arts Company. We are extremely
grateful to have him with us, and hope he will return often. |
