It's been great fun co-producing and appearing in Gypsy. I hope you enjoy this production in what we hope to be our new summer venue. I'd like to thank Chris for casting me, Tammy for being such a sweet Rose, Briona for being such a poised and talented Louise, and the rest of the company for making this such a happy show to be associated with.

   

Sean Walker
Georgie

Sean has been acting for several years now. Spending all four years of high school as a prominent member of Orange Glen High's Phoenix House Players, starring in such roles as Macbeth in Macbeth and James Keller in Miracle Worker. This is his first show at Patio Playhouse and he looks forward to participating in more.

   

John Ashcroft
Simon the Sax Player

John is a 7th grader at Bear Valley Learning Community. John first appeared at Patio Playhouse 7 years ago in Puss in Boots. Since then he has been in many shows including, A Winnie the Pooh Birthday Tale, Sneakers, Hark, The Teen Angels Sing, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and The Orphan Train. His favorite activity is paint ball.

   

Melissa Farlow
Balloon Girl

Melissa's been in several Patio Productions (Hark, the Teen Angels Sing, The Orphan Train, Don't Count Your Chickens Before They Cry Wolf, Midsummer Night's Dream) over the past three years and has enjoyed every minute of it. Her favorite role was Gladys Herdman in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever because she didn't get yelled at for doing all the things that get her in trouble at home. Melissa is a fifth grader at North Broadway School and loves to play basketball

   

Sara Brenner
Baby Louise

Sara is so excited to be in her second play. After appearing in Into the Woods, she just couldn't get enough of theatre! Sara has been dancing at Dance FX for almost nine years. In her last competition, she earned 1 high-silver medal and 3 golds. She's a seventh grader at San Elijo School. She also would like to dedicate her performance to her family and friends.

   

Giovanna Cabrera
Baby June

Giovanna is twelve years old and is home schooled. This is her third play with Patio. She enjoys singing, dancing, acting and playing piano.

   

Tammy Carr-Kron
Rose

Tammy is delighted to be performing with Patio Playhouse for the first time. Most recently, she appeared as Mrs. Pearce for Saddleback Civic Light Opera’s production of My Fair Lady. She has performed a variety of roles in North County at Poway Center for the Performing Arts and at the Moonlight Amphitheatre. Some of her favorites include Miss Lynch in Grease, Ethel Tofflemeier in The Music Man, and Lady Battersby in Me and My Girl. She has also appeared as Eddie in The Rocky Horror Show at the McKenna Theatre in San Francisco. Tammy received her B.A. in theatre performance and directing from Long Beach State University and studied for her M.A. in Multicultural Theatre at San Francisco State University. She dedicates her performance to Michael and Samantha whose support, love and understanding make it all possible.

   
   

Russ Preves
Kringelein, Pop, Cigar

Russ was born at a very young age in a galaxy far, far away. During his brief earth visit, he has played many roles both on stage and on the small screen. Currently you may catch Russ in a Golden Acorn Casino T.V. commercial. Russ hopes to earn enough money acting to phone home, and would like to thank Caroline, the cow, for moooving him so, and her utter support.

   

Macon Bauer
Newsboy

Mac Bauer is 10 years old and is a student at Chaparral Elementary in Poway. His theatre experience includes; Grease at MET, The Littlest Angel and Into the Woods at Patio Playhouse. He enjoys playing piano, bass guitar, skateboarding, basketball and football. Mac takes great pleasure and is highly skilled at annoying his big brother Max. He would like to thank Chris and Kat for their patience and to Theresa Green for transport and support.

   

Gabriella Cabrera
Newsboy

Gabriella is 10 years old and is home schooled. This is her second show with Patio. She enjoys singing, dancing, acting and playing the guitar.

   

Micho Cabrera

Micho is 8 years old and is home schooled. This is his second show with Patio. He enjoys singing, dancing acting and playing drums.

   

Ben Cohen

Ben is fifth grade student at Chaparral Elementary. Gypsy is Ben's first production with Patio Playhouse. He enjoys playing piano and trombone. One of Ben's favorite activities is playing football with the Rancho Bernardo Riptides.

   

Tyler Green
Newsboy

Tyler is 8 years old and attends Chaparral Elementary in Poway. He really loves being on stage! This is Tyler's second show with Patio Playhouse, he was also in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. In his free time he plays the piano (because his mother makes him) and enjoys a wide variety of sports; baseball, soccer, basketball, tennis and golf.

   

Gretchen Pili
Edna Weber

Gretchen Pili has been performing at Patio since 1981, and they still let her on stage once in a while. Highlights have been Penny for the first You Can't Take It With You, and Agnes Gooch in Auntie Mame. Most recently she was the Innkeeper's Wife in Man of La Mancha.

   

Briona Daugherty
Louise

Briona is a newcomer to Patio and is thrilled to be playing the role of Louise. She has appeared at The Old Globe, Moonlight Ampitheatre and the Lyceum, where she was most recently seen in The Serpent. Briona is a senior at Charter High School and hopes to pursue a career in acting.

   
April Boatman
Dainty June, Hollywood Blonde, Stripper

April is thrilled to be performing here at Kit Carson Amphitheatre. Some of her favorite roles include, Luisa in The Fantasticks, Elvira in Blythe Spirit, Rita in Prelude To A Kiss, and Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors. You may also see April as Elaine in Arsenic and Old Lace at the Mission Theatre in Fallbrook. April would like to thank Chris for the opportunity of playing Dainty June as well as thanking her wonderfully supportive family!

   

Frankie Moran
Tulsa, Caroline the Cow

Frankie is happy to return to San Diego after a year on the East Coast, where he appeared in Annie, The Pajama Game, and as Chino in West Side Story, and several years in L.A., where he performed in Brigadoon, Singin’ in the Rain, and as Dan LaMar in Babes in Arms. Local credits include this summer’s Damn Yankees at Starlight, The Mikado at Lyric Opera, West Side Story at the Welk Resort, and Anything Goes, Chess, and The King & I at the Moonlight. A graduate of UCLA’s School of Theatre, Film, and Television, this marks his second affair with Mama Rose and Gypsy, having played L.A. in another production. Enjoy the show!

Collin recently produced and appeared in Six Characters In Search of An Author at Patio Playhouse. This season and last, he appeared in Ramshackle Inn, Man of La Mancha and You Can't Take It With You. He would like to thank all the people who continue to give him wonderful opportunities and his loving and very supportive girlfriend, Jacqueline and her family.

Hi, my name is Nicco. I am 16. My hobbies are acting, drawing and singing. This is my 8th show at Patio Playhouse. Most recently I appeared in fundraisers for John Provost and Barry McGuire.

   

Julia Bonnici
Newsboy, L.A., Hollywood Blonde, Stripper

This is Julia's second show with Patio Playhouse. Most recently she was seen in The Princess and the Pea with Premiere Productions. She is very excited to be back on stage aftert aking some time off for college and wants to thank her husband Josh for all his love and support.

Mr. Goldstone, Bourgeron-Cochon

Julio made his first appearance last year at Patio Playhouse in Man of La Mancha for which we won an Aubrey Award nomination, followed by The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. At the Adams Ave. Gallery of the Arts, he did Bad Date Theatre and Our Lady of 121st Street.

Deborah is thrilled to be a part of this production of Gypsy. Thank you Rick, Paul and Mark for continuing to put up with my time away from home.

   

Katie Carlstrom

After an almost 10-year hiatus from theatre, I am back on the stage. I would like to thank my family and friends for encouraging me to pursue this interest. I would also like to thank Patio Playhouse for giving me the opportunity to have an artistic outlet after spending hours in a biology lab all day.

   

Monique Fleming
Hollywood Blonde, Showgirl

This is Monique's Patio debut. She received her B.A. in theatre from UCSD. Past roles include 4.48 Psychosis, Titus Adronicus, Machinal, Angel City and Parker Pie. Look for her in an upcoming production of Vesta.

   

Tiffany Paster
Hollywood Blonde, Showgirl

Tiffany Paster has been performing since she was 7 years old. She just returned for a 3 year break from theater and is very happy to be apart of the cast of Gypsy. She wished to send a thank you to her family for being so supportive, caring and pushed her to get back on the stage...Thank you.

 

   

Christa Sherman
Hollywood Blonde, Showgirl

Christa is 17 years old and a senior at Orange Glen High School. She is a member of the Orange Glen Competition dance team, Opus One Show Choir, and Phoenix House Players. She has being doing theatre with Patio since her debut as Harold the Rabbit in Wind in the Willows. She has gone on to be a frequent actor in the youtheatre, a band crew member in adult theatre, and the creator of the Teen Angels. Her most recent shows at Patio include The Littlest Angel, The Orphan Train, and the co-written, co-directed youtheatre production Hark! The Teen Angels Sing.

   

Stephen A. Rich
Pastey

Steve was honored recently with an Aubrey Award for his portrayal of Dr. Herbert Rosenthal in Nuts. He has also been honored with a Patio Playhouse Award for his role as Uncle Louie in Lost in Yonkers. Steve has also appeared in Man of La Mancha, Light Up the Sky, and most recently as the lovable old coot, Grandpa in You Can’t Take It With You. He has also appeared in My Three Angels, Breaking Legs, and Showdown. It is a real pleasure to perform at Kit Carson Park Amphitheater for the very first time.

   

Susan Bell
Tessie Tura

You many have seen Susan on the Patio, Poway and Scripps Ranch stages in such roles as Nurse Ratched in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, the mother in The Perfect Wedding, as herself in Kiss Me, Tony. and at the Welk Theatre in Annie Get Your Gun. She is especially excited to be in this production because she gets to be in her first show with her husband Paul. Thanks, Paul—for all you do.

   

Lisa Goodman
Mazeppa

Lisa is thrilled to be "bumping it with a trumpet" in this production of Gypsy! She was recently seen with the Lyric Opera in Die Fledermaus. Favorite roles include Ado Annie in Oklahoma!, Annoya the Stepsister in Cinderella and Frankie in Ricky Dean and the Doo Wop Girls which she will reprise at The Avo Playhouse this October. Thanks for giving me the chance to play this wonderful role, Chris!

   

Peggy Schneider
Electra

Peggy was recently honored with a Patio Award as Best Actress - Major Support for her role in Light Up the Sky. She was also nominated as Best Leading Actress for her role in Ramshackle Inn. Despite her love of theatre, Peggy did not major in theatre arts. She's a University of Arizona animal scienc major and works as a conservation educator at the San Diego Zoo's Wild animal Park, when she is not in Las Vegas with her husband of 21 years, Steve.

Renee the Maid

By profession, I am a nurse educator and I view teaching as a performance. During my high school years, I was very involved in theatre and received a Dramatics medal for outstanding performance/service. Favorite Shakespearean roles include Peter Quince, Lady Macbeth and Portia. Gypsy marks my acting debut at Patio.
